A while ago I bought a pack of Ink & Spindle remnants and have intended for a while to make cushion covers from them.

Yesterday I finally got around to it. They’re far from perfect – despite measuring the previous covers on the cushions and checking for size, the covers have mostly come out a bit saggier than I would like. And my attempt at making velvet piping to accent the patchwork was a complete shemozzle and I won’t show any close ups of that because it’s too embarrassing.

You can see from one of the shots below that I haven’t used any zips or buttons – each of the covers has an unbleached linen backing, which is overlapped so that you can stuff the cushion in without needing to fasten.

On the whole I’m happy with them because they match the couch and look better than what was there before. But they leave a lot to be desired in their construction, that’s for sure!
